A soft space for motherhood, handmade magic, and the stories behind the stitches.
Hi sweet friend,
I’m so glad you’re here! Whether you stumbled upon this little corner of the internet or have been following along with Motherhook & Co. for a while, welcome. Truly.
This blog has been on my heart for some time now. I’ve always felt the tug to write—to share the in-betweens of motherhood, the behind-the-scenes of my handmade shop, and the slow, intentional life I’m trying to build for my family and myself. Instagram captions only go so far, and I’ve craved a deeper way to connect, reflect, and just… be real.
So, what is this space?
It’s a journal of sorts— a quiet thread woven between my yarn, my home, and my heart.
Here, I’ll share:
- Honest reflections on motherhood and mental health
 - The why behind the plushies, name banners, and heirloom toys I create
 - Cozy crochet inspiration, tutorials, and seasonal makes
 - Bits of our homeschool journey and slow living routines
 - Encouragement for other moms and makers trying to do life gently

Why now?
I’ve learned that when I pour into the things that bring me peace—crochet, writing, creating—it overflows into every part of my life. I mother better. I breathe deeper. I find meaning in the mess. And I’ve seen how many of you feel that way too.
Starting this blog is a way to invite you in—not just to what I make, but to the heart behind it all.
What can you expect?
- Realness. This isn’t a blog that’s all polished perfection. I’ll share the hard days, too. The unraveling. The tired tears. The wins that feel small but matter big.
 - Inspiration. Whether it’s yarn, rhythm, or routine—I hope you leave feeling a little lighter and more rooted.
 - Connection. You’re not alone in how you feel. My hope is that you come here and feel seen.

So grab a cozy drink, curl up somewhere soft, and stay awhile. I can’t wait to grow this space with you.
With a grateful heart,
Ashley
